1936 Ford Model 68 Deluxe street rod. Features a combination of vintage aesthetics with modern performance upgrades, most notably its Ford 4.6L 2-valve DOHC V8 Cobra engine, an automatic transmission, steel body, and a Mustang II front suspension. The build incorporates a custom steel body with a striking Carousel Red paint job, complemented by old-school hot rod styling elements such as ET wheels and wide rear tires. Functional and stylish modifications including suicide doors, power windows, a tilt and telescopic steering column, overhead gauge cluster, and custom interior with beige bucket seats. The trunk release is a pull handle behind the drivers seat, and a battery shut off is on the passenger floor near the seat. The radio does not power up. Equipped with modern conveniences such as disc brakes up front, a quick-change Ford 9-inch rear end, and a unique vacuum-operated rear license plate drop-down. Several hidden features and custom touches including headlights that turn with the steering, and electric door poppers. On the road a smooth and responsive throttle and automatic transmission, powerful acceleration, and a comfortable driving experience despite the car's vintage street rod look. Balanced handling and flat cornering are experienced, and an engine sound that is pleasingly throaty but not overwhelming.
