1973 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, VERY solid, drive anywhere!
The 1973 Monte Carlo ushered in the second generation and was no longer a hardtop, but a pillared coupe with rear side opera windows and frameless door glass. New styling featured dual headlights with an egg-crate grille and Monte Carlo emblem in front, and vertical tail lights above the bumper. This particular car is a great example of the 73 Monte Carlo S and is a very solid and original car. The interior's seats, carpeting, dash, radio, etc. are original and just the way it would have came when ordered from General Motors. Speaking of the way it was ordered, included in the sale of the car is the build sheet which confirms this car was ordered in Light Copper Poly (paint code 60 with a white vinyl top and black cloth interior. The paint has been touched up in areas due the paint checking and aging. The doors and quarters retain much of their original paint and were left that way to show how solid this car still is. (There are some chips and nics in the doors and quarter panels as you will be able to see in the video) Upon inspecting the doors and door jams you will see this car also had Ziebart rust proofing added prior to the original owner taking delivery. The original owner also kept records of the service work he did to this car from the time he got it until it had 93,213 miles on it. There was a small notebook he kept in the glovebox with all of this recorded and that will also be included in the sale. Take a look at the pics provided and you'll be able to check out the underside of the vehicle and see how the floor pans are original and still in great shape, you can also check out the engine compartment and trunk to see how original they are! If you're looking for a car to into the classic car hobby that is solid and has a well documented history this may be the car for you.
